Johny Bairstow update

Still gutted Cooky chose to retire. We'd have certainly not had the merry go round of openers since he packed it in.

He may not have been the best version of him but he'd have certainly been a lot better than what replaced him. You'd think with him at the other end some of the fellas we'd tried would have done a lot better.

Get he will have wanted more time at home on his farm so can't begrudge him for that. But he could have had a real crack at Tendulkar record the amount of cricket we play.
He was averaging 20 odd for while before he retired he's my favourite English player ever but he probably retired at correct time

Well he has to start somewhere. Looking forward to him getting a pair at the Riverside in a couple of weeks, followed by a rousing chorus of the Blaydon Races from our lads 😂

Did Jonny have two night Watchmen and still have to come out to bat?
or........ did Jonny sacrifice 2 nightwatchmen and still have to come out to bat?

worth it though..... he managed to carry his bat for 20 at the 'don't mention the R word' Stadium, Headingley, this morning

10 wickets in the match for Rushy. He's a canny player like.
Travesty he never got an England call up.

Watching the likes of Overton and Ball do absolutely nothing of note at maybe a mph or 2 faster than him is just wrong.
