It seems this whole thing has got everyone on his side cos at times he would get slated on here. Easily our best player.

I personally think he will struggle with the abuse mentally so I would "maybe" have him on the bench away from home and start him at home, then if away fans start with abuse it's up to us to make sure he can't hear it through our support
He'd be better off on the pitch than sitting on the bench at an away game imo, at least on the pitch you are a bit further away from the away fans and concentrating on the game you're involved in, he'd be a sitting duck in the dugout.

Club statement worded it as if he was wanting to come back and his team were pushing for it to happen. So much for that w*nker Kitson saying he 'was in a dark place' and he could be finished.

I think it's in his contract that his suspension is a 2 week only thing so probably the club just playing by the rules. Don't think we will see him in to kill the mags.

No one knows his state of mind so impossible to say really. If he's fit and focussed, then there is no doubt, he has to start. But no one other than Johnson knows
I said as soon as it happened. He will either come back a broken man or he will knuckle down and be in an England shirt again

I think the same, I cannot see him playing for the rest of the season. He will get abuse wherever he plays, home or away, which will affect him and the rest of the squad. What if some of the squad have strong feelings on him being allowed to play with this hanging over him? He could only play in my opinion if everyone is 100% certain of his innocence and the full team are behind him.

If it was a drink driving offence or similar, I could understand him being allowed to play, but the seriousness of the allegations, puts this into a totally different ball park.

At the very best he has been foolish to get himself into this position in the first place, even if entirely innocent. Best just keep him fit and training and hope this thing comes to a conclusion before the end of the season.

The best thing is 100% to get back playing. I'd keep him on the bench v West Ham just to settle him back in abit, bring him on though.

Then, let him loose against the scum. Haway Johno lad. We're all behind you.

I'd say start him or leave it. Having him on the bench means he'll be close to the crowd for the majority of the game and then if he's brought on any reaction to him will be magnified compared to if he's able to keep his head down in the starting line up in my opinion.

It's a leave it for me. The media will be all over it like a rash if he plays whilst this is still hanging over him. The club will be getting it from all angles, never mind the lad himself.

I did think that initially but the more I've thought about it on what grounds will they be slated, he's not even been charged with anything (I know the media don't always follow what's 'right'). There doesn't seem to have been any negative reaction in the media to our announcement that his suspension has been lifted.
