To not be able to score goals with Amad and Clarke supplying you is some feat, when you look back at it

They weren't really supplying him though were they, he was working his bollocks off as a lone striker enough to afford the other two space. To not be able to score goals with Amad and Clarke supplying you is some feat, when you look back at it
Tin hat on but I thought he was alright playing out of position and grew into it. He was loaned as a number 10 but ultimately judged as a number 9 replacement (and our best one for years at that in Stewart.) Definitely a good player there. He gets a lot of unfair stick imo. Always grafted his arse off and was thrown into a shit situation. Plenty others would have done far worse
Gelhardt wasn't brought in to be a striker, he was brought in to play off of/behind Stewart, but Stewart got injured pretty much straight after he was signed, then had to lead the line himself.Awful player at our level with no natural goal instinct at all. That goes for both Geldhart and Burstow.
Geldhart was our striker and when we came to cross I'd often see him wandering about on the edge of the box. Dreadful forward play.
Very shocked either them are still playing at Championship level.
Absolutely begging to get relegated.Off to Hull on loan, Burstow and Gelhardt dream strike force
Very few teams play 2 strikers. With Amad playing the 10 role and if Stewart had remained fit he would have barely played a minute then.Gelhardt wasn't brought in to be a striker, he was brought in to play off of/behind Stewart, but Stewart got injured pretty much straight after he was signed, then had to lead the line himself.
We had Stewart up front with Simms a few times before he went back to Everton.Very few few teams play 2 strikers. With Amad playing the 10 role and if Stewart had remained fit he would have barely played a minute then.
Any forward should have some ability and nouse. He had limited of the former and very little of the latter. He's just not good enough at Championship level.
Only needed a proper striker to play off supposedly. To not be able to score goals with Amad and Clarke supplying you is some feat, when you look back at it
Teams may as well play without a keeper
What's his tally so far at Hull? He was terrible for us and I do hope the lad is improving at Hull, but it was Meslier in goal ...
We did. We didn't have Amad starting at times early in the season. However, by Xmas we had a pretty settled side.We had Stewart up front with Simms a few times before he went back to Everton.
A marginal improvement from last season with us. I watched a Hull game the other week, well, more like Burstow watch. He's not changed at all, still doesn't run or challenge for the ball, bet the Hull fans aren't impressed with their new striker. Now they've got Gelhardt, he'll share the blame. They'll be lucky to get 10 goals between them.Apps 15

Another striker who simply didn’t fit our style. For about 2 years our recruitment was poor. Vast majority of our success has been with players who have been British based.Scored twice in 15 league appearances apparently.
Better than he managed here at least.
Don't you mean you would prefer 1 Joffy to 10 Burstows?Good look Joffy, I’d have 10 Joffys than a Burstow
