If he was free and we didn't have Aouchiche then maybe. But he won't be and we have Aouchiche, Ba, Mundle, Rusyn etc - basically a whole host of semi skilled limited attacking options yet to prove anything.

I mean - if we want to actively seek relegation then sign a few more like them and add Gelhardt.

Me, I'd rather look towards some with the skillsets we need who can come in and actually add something we're missing.

We need to just add one or two who can do things like hold the ball up, bring others into play and score the odd opportunist goal. Even if he gets 10 goals adding that to the side would have a knock on effect in other areas and transform how we could play.

Clearly we aren't serious as we've seen over the last 18 months and with the manager search, so expecting one or two who can score 20 would be the kind of blind luck rarely seen before.
 
I quite like him me and think he’s better than all the options we currently have in our squad. He was involved in the build up for quite a lot of our goals despite not scoring many himself.

We played some class football during the period he was a starter here.

Probably more down to Amad with Roberts and Clarke on form like.

I wouldn’t dismiss it though.
 
I'm glad my fellow supporters are so easily pleased, why is there such an obsession on here on wanting to bring back failures ? We need a proven goal scorer and experienced back up not a number 10 who doesn't and has never looked like scoring goals. We only play with 1 up front ( some times ) and are expecting to lose our top scorer and yet we want to bring in this fella , we have our number 10 - Jobe , who as we know starts every game , so how is Gelhardt going to get a start anyway ? Keep signing inexperienced kids and we are going down. FTM
