I agree. Players can look really different in training compared to competitive matches. I can only presume he like what he saw in training.
I felt bad fit him, it wasn't the debut he would have hoped for im sure.

I am closer to your view than others, but he should never have been starting this game.
Even an experienced player would do well to play from the beginning if they had as little experience as this kid and never played in Premiership before.
It was frankly a bizzare decision. Especially with another newbie of low experience on other flank.
We had Talbi, Mayenda,Isidor, Rigg on the bench
Did us cost us the game?
No but I think it set the tone as these lads were playing individual games.
What ever happened to Regis’s team playing connected ?

For me he couldn’t have really had a better first start in the prem. looks a miles better threat than talbi but talbi is better off the left.
Isidor and rigg not at prem standard.
Mayenda at a push but needs to play up front not on the wing.
 
Seen people writing off what I thought was a positive 30 minute cameo?

Couple of loose touches but on debut in the premier league at 21 it’s expected.

That’s probably just experience with the team. He got the start because of his attacking threat. He’s got the defensive side to learn still, it’ll come but he actually tracked back, won 4 out of 6 ground duels today.
