Next 3/4 years might be the most important of his career. Forget money, size of club & league, get this part right & he could follow his brother. Go to Man City or the Mags & we might not see him for that time. Or at best, he gets loaned out to a club, which may or may not work out. Let’s be honest, it’s in everyone’s best interest that he’s f***ing mint in his early 20s. It’s in Newcastle’s interests to build a team that can compete in the Champions League.

We might just be seeing football changing slightly here, where younger players are more concerned about developing than the bright lights. & if they’re not, we certainly aren’t fishing for them.

Right now we’re one of the best clubs in the country for developing young talent. Other than for financial gain, we’re the best choice for someone like Bellingham at this stage of his career.

Other clubs have been in for him but the reality is, he’d likely have wasted away in the u21’s or been loaned out to this level.
