Jobe Bellingham - Signed

we were 3 nil up m8
I was talking about the Watford game.
Whilst I'd certainly agree with that view under Mowbray, I'd be less inclined to agree that it would have been that way under Neil. We'd have probably played 3-5-2 a lot, would have run the risk of marginalising Roberts and Amad and would have had to put up with a load of moaning every single press conference (although that would have been a different matter).
It's hard to say really. We were trying to keep Simms and Stewart in the same side. Neil said that himself. We lined up with a 352 against Rotherham when we steam rollered them 3-0 after Neil's departure. Next game Stewart gets his injury in the warm up and I'm not sure we ever had them both fit together again after that.

Neil never had Amad, so ya just don't know what he'd have done there.

It's probably fair to say Mowbray took a shine to Roberts - he's possibly played more games than he would have done under Neil. But there's other factors at play - the injuries to Stewart, Simms, even Embleton.

A lot of things have happened this season that have forced us down this way or that, team selection wise. Most weeks, the team picks itself depending on who's fit.
