Jobe Bellingham - Signed

He must be signing or close to signing as being at our game and all the noise about him signing etc would've been squashed at Birmingham's end by now. Can you imagine this place if one of our highly thought of youngsters was at a championship playoff game after our season had finished being heavily linked, we'd be kicking off non stop to the point the club would had to have released a statement. He must be signing or heck already signed giving the noises from the media too.
yeah it seems pretty inevitable all things considered

Wasn't he here earlier in the season, I'm not sure which game it was mind?

How come we played totally different under Alex Neil then?
I'm not sure that's entirely true mind but it doesn't really matter.

The Club certainly have an idea in mind of how they want us to ultimately set-up and play. That's fine. I favour 4-3-3 and derivatives thereof too.

And whilst @TravellingMackem might not be flavour of the month here, I think he's right to say we would need to adapt to survive in the Premiership if we do go up.

There's been a lot of teams who've gone up, looked attractive and been uncompromising with their style, and they've plummeted straight back down. Mowbray did it himself with West Brom many years ago.

I think the change around in image they have made has be fantastic. The reputation for young, dynamic and exciting football in a brilliant environment is being noticed by all.

Diallo has been brilliant for both clubs, we will be loaned the better prospects instead of the bin end fillers. For Jobe to be moving again, sets a statement that we are a club moving in a rapid direction and attracting the best young players. The season the 18s have had to add to the mix sets an exciting time ahead.

I think if we did go up it would be incredibly difficult. But they certainly wouldn't be planning for failure. Teams like Bournmouth, Brentford and Brighton have shown it is possible. Forest have had a scatter gun approach and it looks like it may well end in failure. We have quite a few players who 'could' prosper in the Premier League and I'm sure they will have the bones of a plan of how to proceed should we get up.

i agree with your post.

Its ironic though-when mowbray arrived many of the idiots on here had him down as a "dinosaur" who wasnt going to play good football..

..now the (understandable) clamour is for him to be more pragmatic if we go up!

He was at our play off games last year, too, though.

In possession, we could absolutely line up like that. Used a mixture of loaned and injured players to illustrate this.

Roberts Amad Stewart Pritchard Clarke

The good old days when men were men

I think he may have been also like others have said he was here for playoffs last year. I posted months ago one of those taxi driver stories 😂 saying he'd picked up someone from the club at Durham train station having been in Birmingham why they seem to open up and spill stuff to taxi drivers like but there seems alot of smoke without something happen with him.

An overhaul would be all wrong. Ya need to keep the team together. That's exactly what we did last summer as well. People complained about the apparent lack of activity last summer, but getting Clarke and Roberts signed on was massive for us. Sometimes you have to trust the lads who've gotten you there, and you build organically.

It could go any number of ways if we get up, but with Clarke, hopefully Amad, and a couple others, you have a chance.

Just gotta get there first!

Everything I’ve read says he’s not ready and that’s birmingham fans talking between themselves on twitter after matches
I've read that Pritchard was a waste of space and that Amad wasn't good enough. I've also read from our own fans that Ekwah was a liability.
I never believe what I read until I've seen a player with my own eyes, after he's had a bit of a chance to bed himself in.

A young lad playing in a below average, struggling side will most likely struggle. Put him in a buoyant, exciting team and he's likely to thrive. We've seen that for ourselves, over the last two years.

Nope, that’s a comment on a brand of football installed from the highest level which is working fine at the championship level but would get minced by better teams in the PL. Mowbray gets told what to play and coaches the players to fit a style and a formation, hence “head coach” and not “manager”.
What a load of rubbish !.Doesn't matter if he's head coach or manager, he doesn't get told what style or formation to play.

The football is completely different under Mowbray to Neil, it's a lot more attacking under TM
