Jobe Bellingham - Signed

Seems a done deal like, just can't announce it yet. Probably the reason why we have not taken the option up on Michu.

That also reminds me of that deal falling through for that Liverpool full back, as Cirkin suddenly became available we quite rightly opted for him instead.
I remember the absolute meltdown with that one.

Do we have concrete evidence that he's signing for us? I know iseen something last week saying he'd be here within the next 10 days to sign, but has there been anything else on his transfer?

It's not just been a case of him coming up to visit Speakman and Dodds like he did at the playoff final is it? 😆

Not ‘concrete’ but Fabrizio Romano said it’s nailed on and he gets most things right.
Made 3 appearances for St Johnstone last year. Looks like Cirkin was 100% the right choice.

Always tricky with counterfactuals.

We could have got him, and handled him right, then found ourselves a very good player. Cirkin could have still been struggling to get out of the youth ranks at Spurs.

“Counterfactual”. That’s a new word for me. I’ll be storing it up for later use. Cheers

Yeah I often wonder how much the circumstances affect players. Could have been a fair knock for the lad. Its the same as when clubs release promising players. There's definitely a psychological toll that it takes on players - and one that isn't easy to dig your way out of.

How many promising youngsters careers did we kill in our darker days?
