They’re in the champions league, he’d get loads more money, but you can only assume he’s here for career development & the prospect of playing professional football in the short term. Not Newcastle U21s. They can sign him for £100m in 3yrs time the twats.

Gillespie came through the academy so it will tick a box for registration and will never play. Ritchie, probably just to get a few quid in transfer fee not sure who will pay anything for him though, be in decent wages too

The irony being anywhere with money would live in neither Sunderland or Newcastle. I’d be in rural Northumberland / Durham. Newcastle is my local city and it’s an absolute hovel now compared to a few years ago.
