Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

Suprised with dortmund if true. Thought his whole deal was forging his own name and path. Goes against it a bit signing for dortmund like his brother
Yeah if he goes there it’s no win. He isn’t as good as Jude so can only be a disappointment really

Fully expected the lad to be sold for big money this summer after the start he had to the season regardless of which division we ended up in.

Just wonder if the family might consider a season in the Premier league as being worth the experience.

I'm sure som e big clubs will be looking at trying to get him right now put of fear that a good Premier league season could see his value add another 10m easily (Delap as an example).
I think he’ll stay.

Jobe #Bellingham —> @BVB = “almost” here we go.

Today, further – positive – discussions took place.

The transfer is practically complete; all that's missing is the signature. The deal is done.

Before anyone pins me down: It can still fail—for whatever reason. For example, a medical check.

But, according to my information: #Bellingham —> @BVB here we go.

Announcement expected early to mid next week.
Any word on the fee?

There’ll be a clause release in his contract. If his family managed to get one at Dortmund for his brother they’ll have one at SAFC. especially when the feller who bought him was at Brum with both.
Best of luck to him.
Jude Bellingham didn't have a release clause in his Dortmund contract. Also they are very different players. We didn't really have any competition for Jobe's signature (he has never been rated anywhere nearly as highly as his brother) so I can't imagine he had that much leverage with us, what was he going to do other than stay at Birmingham?
(For what it's worth I don't believe that Dortmund are actually interested, it smacks of lazy journalism more than anything linking Dortmund and Bellingham tbh).

Transfer decision approaching: #BVB plans special role for #Bellingham

Blid is highly rated German media
It's a tabloid. And that's bild sport which is a magazine. If you pay a fee you can read the rest of the article which will tell you the role he would be expected to play at the club.
There are multiple outlets reporting the same thing so the assumption is that they corroborate each other. But it's more likely that they all have the same source, which is some tweet from a dude with 1000 followers which says it's definitely on, but if it's not- it definitely was.

€30m apparently - I wouldn't be taking that personally
It’s a good fee imo and I can imagine we have some sort of agreement where we won’t make it a hassle for him to move on.

Probably why he signed the new deal in the first place. Don’t think his parents will let either him or Jude play in the PL

True enough. Just a shame as I'd like to see us build around him in the prem
Ultimately it’s very unlikely we will be able to build a team that can stay in the premier league. I’m gutted. I’d have loved it if he wanted to give us at least one season in the PL but it looks like he now considers his job here as done.

I think he’ll be off, and hopefully with the well wishes of the club and fans.

Everything I’ve seen and read from the Wembley match is a feeling it’s “mission complete” on staying around the season to get us over the line and back to the PL.

I suspect he stuck around last summer for one more crack at it, with the provision that we wouldn’t step in the way this year, and that’s why this is all happening so quickly (with all the noise around) been planned for months.

It’ll be good for our FFP situation, and hopefully a good move for him to develop. I’d hope we’ve already identified our own replacement, and can get that over the line quickly.
