Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

I suspect Dortmund mate. But his parents clearly value close relationships with coaches and staff for their boys development, hence why he came to us with Speakman and Dodds. They will have established relationships with people at Dortmund. Also they seem to like the idea of them being out of the limelight of the PL. It also gives him Champions League football and his aim will be to get in the England squad before the World Cup.

No idea how much.

He would need to have one hell of a season next year to get into the World Cup squad. Not saying he can’t mind.

Think his interview said it all, it was all im glad to get the club back to where they belong. There was no we in any of it. His instagram post was also ‘job done’ whereas a lot of others were ‘we are premier league’
I thought the exact same. Very telling how he refers to us as ‘them’. Think he’ll be off abroad personally

Our aim next season will to be to stay up which will be extremely difficult. 8 of the last 9 promoted have gone back down; forest the outlier and they broke PSR rules.

Jobe playing in the bundesliga as Jude did will suit his development much better with elite level coaching than a deep rooted fight to stay up here; plus any relegation could see his stock drop. His family will strike whilst the iron is hot and he'll be away in the next few weeks.
I've still got that feeling that he'll want to play for SAFC in the Premier league before he plays for another club. If one of the big boys land him, he'd probably going on loan to a lower Premier team in any case.

His language has been very telling I thought - "the fans are back where they belong"

No "we" more "they" - I just see it in his body language, I think it's already a done deal.

but ENZO LE FEE slots straight into that spot.
Yeh agree just watched an interview , he was asked “ how does it feel to be a premier league footballer “ his reply was something like it’s great to be part of the team to get this club back where they belong .

His family and advisors will have had each step carefully planned. I'd say after 2 years here a move is likely for his next stage of development.
I would love him to stay and keep developing here, just cant see it

Don't see why he'd leave. Gets a chance to play in the top flight with players he knows and is comfortable with, and would be a good education for him in terms of showing what you're made of when it's not going your way more often than not.

There's no way on this earth that we're getting 40 million for him. 20 million would be a surprise. He hasn't stood out any more than the rest of the team.

Totally agree. Good brand management from his family and advisors if true. Last thing he needs in his career now is to be exposed to the Premier League in an inexperienced midfield. He'll thrive in a team that is already established, whichever country it's in. I also think he's more suited to style of play which is not so much counter-attack focused as we will need to be next year.

£40M? Good deal all round and best of luck.

That's why we need him to stay and have good season. £50 million.
I would play him further back, more box to box, behind le Fée

All the young lads have just added 20 mill to their price.
English
Young
Premier League players.
Get at least one more season out of them.

Le Fee has got to be playing in front of the back four. You want you best footballer getting hold of the ball and dictating the match. Plain as day.
That's CDM ( central defensive midfielders), who would be Dan Neil, box to box ,Jobe and Le Fée in front playmaking.
That's if you play 4.3.3.

No, marra. All the fancy diamonds, 10s, 6s, 8s, box to box and all that bollocks. A wise man once said: "football is a simple game." You want your best footballer picking the ball up deep and running the match. That's where Le Fee should be playing.
