Be great if a famous Mackem (let's say someone with gravitas like Kate Adie or Tim Rice) did a tongue in cheek one in the style of Gabby Logan) at the right moment in time. But I'm not feeling it in this case, especially as the club may not even be after him still for all we know. Timing is everything.

Aye you’re probably right. Roefs for me is the biggest gamble of the window. In many ways he’s less experience than Patterson.

The annoying thing here is fans putting together make shift teams on a forum, it shouldn't be happening.

We're a top tier club with huge resources and we've missplonked badly. The first signings should have been GK,CHs and CF, or if not signed negotiations in place from day one of the window for our targets.

The GX signing is a fabulous signing, he'll end up our coach in the future.

The risk is injuries but that goes for most other teams too.

A journalist who watches Belgian football was on one of the podcasts not long after we signed him and said he’s poor at right back as he’s got not much pace. Said he would be fearful him playing right back against anyone rapid. Basically, said he’s totally wasted there.
