Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour


A lot of people talking two centre backs, would people be sad or happy if one of them was Mepham, as long as the other was an elite signing like this lad or Diatike?

He’s still there, knows the squad, and has about 60 prem appearances. First half of the season, he was on for player of year imo, though fell away a bit towards the end.

At the level of Lucumi / Diakite (or similar), it gives us a real shot.

The issue for us is that we're 2 weeks away from the first game of the season and although the window is open for a while thereafter, most of our "easier" games all season fall with the first few weeks.

We need them in and ready to go for game one.

Mepham didnt look all that good at Championship level. Slow. It would be a no from me.

I think we’ve moved on from Mepham. As good as he was at times last season, he’s very slow (as seen in the playoff final). With the ambitious signings we’ve made and are trying to make I just don’t see it happening.

I'd prefer Diakite mind but I think we want a left footed center half.

Mepham isn’t good enough
It’s why he won’t play fkr Bournemouth

I honestly think we need better than Mepham.
