Don't think it is when you have the poor quality in that position already. Gruelling hard position this and its a long hard season ahead.

You need top quality in this position especially in the PL.

Exactly. Some people go on like everything published is fact. They lack the ability to differentiate between uncorroborated news stories and fact, and reinforce the problems further by claiming said stories as fact themselves. We truly do live in a post truth world.

We're motoring along with recruitment and cant get everyone in within a few weeks but ffs have some faith man!

But it doesn't work like that. In the ideal world we would have everyone in for pre season but it will never happen. E dry year we have people panicking and blaming the club because they didn't sign everyone on day one of the window. Panicking

Nobody’s saying they should be signed on day one of the window.
This is a pretty unique scenario in the recent history of the club and the business done to date suggests the club are more than cognisant of the importance of getting as much of the windows business in as soon as possible.

Why weeks ago? It doesn't always work like that. As long as we bring in at least 1 before the end of the window that will be satisfactory, ideally we need them in before West Ham and in an absolute ideal world, we will sign 2 centre halfs before the window closes.
