Don't agree at all. Whether they get enough goals is a different matter but if we go into the season with this defense it won't matter anyway.

I'm not seeing the way you see the reality. I think Ballard, Hume, Cirkin, Mayenda , Isidor will improve and play a massive part.

I like Ballard, Hume and Le Fee will be starters all season and rightly so. There's just not a chance we're going to replace all 11 playerss.

Hume, Ballard, Mayenda and Le Fee will definitely be in starting XI come first game. They are all perfect for Prem imo.

Agree on some need to be binned/let go of though, however with the AFCON we are going to have to be careful how many we lose.

FWIW I think Rigg will play a lot more than people expect too, despite how we are looking in pre season.

I agree they all will, but I guess it shows the gap we have to bridge because despite being two of our better players last season, there are still big question marks over both Hume and Ballard imo.

Obviously Ballard was outstanding in the playoffs, but if the season had ended after 47 games you'd have to say he'd had a poor season. Injury disrupted for sure, but still some poor performances and until the playoffs he's lost his place even when fit.

We've seen them both only once against PL opposition - Ballard scored an own goal and gave away a penalty, Hume was tortured through the whole game.

Everyone of those are capable of making the step up like, they’ll thrive with better quality players alongside them.

and far too many people don't seem to be able to grasp the gulf in class between the championship and the premierleague

we'll get absolutely rinsed week in week out if that many of our team from last season are regular starters because they 'deserve' it. it's small time mentality imo

they have a place in the squad but we should absolutely be looking to improve everywhere if the opportunity arises
