JD or KP

Both great players, for me though as a footballer SKP was better.
Phillips could have played central midfield as a playmaker and not looked out of place.
He had a fantastic footballing brain as well as the goals.

Did you actually see him play? His first season he scored 34 goals, his second season he scored 25 goals (even though he was injured for 4 months of the season). His third season he hit 30 Premiership goals and in his fourth season he still hit around 15 goals in a struggling side. I saw them both and Phillip's was without question the better striker.

Neither were great players, both very good, was never a massive Phillips fan inspite of what he did for us, could never warm to him, BUT he still edges Defoe for me
