Jared Gillet

You better believe it.

Remember about a decade ago the ball wasn't even close to being between the two posts after a shot was taken; it was about a metre wide of the left upright and he gave a goal for someone. Class like
Yeah it was a Watford match, wasn't it? Ball nowhere near the goal, awards a goal 😄

I honestly think the Premier League are desperate to make Gillet a success so they can attract other refs from abroad to move here. He is out of his depth. The non red card is getting overlooked a bit IMO, we should have had 30 mins against 10 men.
I dunno. It was an 'orange' card for me. Its one of those where if Trai Hume did it, we'd be anxiously looking at the ref thinking he might go.

There's a completely different set of rules around fouls for pens, it's nuts.

Anywhere else on the field and he blows immediately, potentially even a yellow, zero attempt to involve the ball at any stage. Yet any foot on foot or leg action and they will replay endlessly in slow motion to look for the slightest contact.

I can understand the ref missing it players dive an awful lot but Stevie Wonder on VAR would have told him he needs to take another look
It’s because he lacks the confidence to give pens. He would have given outside the box.

He’s clearly not good enough to be a ref if he lacks the confidence to give that.

If you reverse the players, and it's Le Fee doing that to the defender in the box, he'll award that as a freekick 99 out of 100 times. So its a definitely, definitely a freekick, then it's a foul and a penalty.

I thought I'd wait until this morning before making any comments on the officials performances on this game. In doing so and after watching various match's yesterday, performances by these PGMOL referees clearly showed the appointed officials ALL apply these rules and their interpretation of the said rules in totally different contexts and reasoning individualy. I thought last week was bad against Fulham for the deliberate hand ball and offside decisions and even back to the Liverpool game where the referee apologised for not awarding us a penalty for the foul on Brian Brobbey during the following week. Consistency, Application of the rules, interpretation of the rules all which should be pretty straight forward if they PGMOL actually train and talk with each other. However after yesterday theresonly one word that encapsulates these rank bad performances by the game officials.....

ANOTHER!

Yesterdays game with Gillet took us up to a different level of PGMOL incompetence.

Wouldn't be so bothered if he was shit BUT gave us decisions. However he is shit AND never gives us anything. Hope we don't see him again this season.

I do think his performance yesterday should be looked at and after the 3 very obvious mistakes he should be removed from the Prem for a few weeks

Blatant Penalty right in front of him
Red card to Adams for the foul on Xhaka
Hand ball for their goal

All horrible clear decisions and VAR should be pulled in as well

This is what gets frustrating. The ref was shite yesterday but what you're saying just isn't accurate. They weren't three very obvious mistakes, it was one mistake and two debatable ones. I've no issue with the goal or red card and would have been a bit disappointed if it was us and they got given.

It's the penalty that's a howler.

Pawson, Gillett and Attwell in successive matches. Has Reggie been shagging Howard Webb's missus or something?

Its frustrating to you cos thats your opinion but my opinion is all three were obvious and should of been given

Watched the highlights of Burnley v Brentford

Regarding Ashley Barnes's disallowed goal, which would have made it 4-4, how is that more worthy of being disallowed than the Bournemouth equaliser ?

It's like PGMOL have decided that we have had far too much fun this season, and want to ruin the rest of it for us.
