Jan Paul van Hecke (rumour)

Everton didn't want to send two players on loan to the same club that play in the same position. They'd be competing for minutes. Everton would only sell to us and we didn't want to buy.
Not what Neil said is it? He said that the deal was in place and it was Broadhead who changed his mind late on (AN hinted that he thought he maybe didn't have the bottle to come and fight for his place given how Simms and Stewart had started)

Is this definitely off? Liked the look of this lad
nobody knows....we have the word of a journo from Blackburn saying looks like he's coming here, and Alan Nixon who says it's a toss up between us and Blackburn but any of us could have said that and sound plausible......nobody has a clue until he signs or doesn't sign, then all the so called itks will say they knew all along

Clarke to undergo Boro medical

Brighton's Matt Clarke will undergo a medical at Middlesbrough in the next 24 hours.

Boro have agreed a £2.25m deal with the Seagulls to sign the centre-back.

In the last few minutes, Graham Potter has admitted this transfer is "pretty close" in his news conference.

Could influence things

Hell of a signing that unfortunately.

Wigan already had 7 strikers when Broadhead signed.

Just posting what Neil said, and that's a minor part of the main comment, which Neil added as maybe the reason - the point stands that he said it was Broadhead who decided against the move, not Everton or us as you stated, and that there was an agreed deal in place. It was in a video interview with him posted on here, so straight from the horse's mouth. Some people on here previously said it was unlikely that Everton would send 2 players, but is there a link for Everton actually stating this?
