Let’s be cautious here, West Ham fans were gutted about Alese leaving. Still hasn’t impressed so far. Fingers crossed tho’.

Football is very fluid in this country. Our league system means clubs will be changing places constantly. There isn't a set pecking order for the vast majority of us.

The two are incomparable. Alese had barely played any senior football and West Ham fans were presumably “gutted” based on rumours/reviews coming out of their academy.

Van Hecke has a proven track record of performing in senior football at this level.
