Don't be touchy. Getting SKP would be similar to Newcastle appointing Shearer. Phillips doesn't even have a coaching job at the moment as he coached an appalling Stoke side and was sacked with Rowett. To me its a ludicrous suggestion - rather than getting all sensitive why not give me reasons why Phillips would be a good choice other the sentimental reason that he was a good footballer for us.
To be the best, we need to appoint the best...I'm not sure SKP fits that scenario regarding being a top coach, just yet. I would give him a job though.

So you'd take a chance on someone who has never managed purely based on sentiment over someone who has previously managed us and got us promoted? Deary me.
But what has Keane done since he left? If anything his career has and is going down hill. SKP has been doing his badges and has worked as a coach at Leicester, Derby and Stoke. People wanted Keane back for sentimental reasons too. It would be a risk to appoint either one.

A first class rail ticket for back up the road and a crate of buckfast was the severance package id heard being mentioned earlier on.

Keane has had as many assistant/coaching roles as SKP tbf. Any appointment is a risk
