What makes people think another manager is going to win every game on the bounce like?

Ross has earned himself more time by results he got recently keeping us top end, if he went on a bad run then I'm all for a change.

People never learn from the past of changing managers for the sake of it, changing training methods, tactics and everthing else. How do you expect a team to settle when everthing is ripped up on an incoming manager?

Blame the player who kick the ball, if they cant string 2 passes together then sorry but that's not Ross's fault like

We weren’t dreadful at all they had the last 5 mins of the first half, and the first 35 of the 2nd, we played well for the first 40mins and if we had scored the pen it would of been game over . Plus we had the best chances in the 2nd half, if you get a 1 on 1 in with the keeper with 10 mins to go you need to finish it

Doesn’t matter how many shots they had, a shot counts on the stats even if the keeper has to just bend down and pick it up, our keeper only made a couple of good saves
Sorry mate, but that's not what I saw. And like I said, I'm normally a happy clapper. We spent at least 60 minutes of last nights match just hoofing it or playing head tennis. No communication. No motivation (midfield was bypassed and seemed disinterested at times as well). Just poor all round. Ross doesn't take all of the blame... but he does get a lot of it. We've been second best in the majority of the games I've seen this season - and we really shouldn't be.

Apart from AFC Wimbledon (because they offered literally nothing) we haven't dominated a single team or game from start to finish. We won't do it every week, and we won't win every week. That's fine. But every now and then we should pull out a convincing performance..... I can't remember the last one.

Another manager will, or should have the tiniest idea of how to get across a game plan and implement some form of tactics, which is more that can he said for Ross.

Fair enough that’s your opinion , I disagree we were 2nd best for about 40 mins but you stick a pen away too make it 2-0 it’s a different game

Just can’t get remotely excited about this given our current plight. It’s quite scary just how bad we are.
This is not as team that is going to be promoted, not with this bloke as manager. I have never seen a team be so negative or handing the opposition the upper hand on so many occasion, even in the recent years.. The sooner people wake up to that we will be able to move on.

That is true. But the way their heads dropped collectively after that was shocking and it didn't look like Ross did much to fire them back up at half time.

When we put pressure on their defence they crumbled.... if we'd kept that up we'd have won comfortably, regardless of the pen.

Every defence in this league (ours included) crumbles under pressure.... we only seem to realise that for brief spells in a game rather than taking the game to everyone we play, which is well within the abilities of our current squad.

Big gamble sticking with this clown.

But you don't know that, lets say we bring someone else in and get a few good results, it then goes back to a win and few draws, how long before you and the rest want yet another manager?

I've had enough of the revolving door stratergy. We've gone through an endless list of managers. As I say if he keeps the bad results then fair enough but not changing for sake of it.

11 wins in 29.... how many bad results do we need mate? (from someone who has only just given up on Ross).

I hate the revolving door policy with managers, but you have to find the right one to back.... we haven't progressed under Ross at all since the start of last season (in fact we looked better then).

It wouldn't be changing for the sake of it though. It would be changing for months of insipid performances where we simply haven't been good enough. Is there any point in keeping a manager in the name of continuity if performances aren't great and we're showing no signs of improvement?

Yes we were poor for parts of the game, but we aren’t just going to dominate every team in the league we are a team of league 1 players the same as everyone else, if we had scored the pen it prob would of been game over

Dominate every team? We haven’t dominated any team in the league!
More than the entire division’s budget spent on players and we end up with ‘a team of L1 players the same as everyone else.’

That, combined with our below par performances, indicates that Ross is a very poor manager.

71 Games - W36, D26, L9
Win % - 50.7
1-1 Draws - 20 (twenty)

We've won half our games under him in league one. Thats not how you get promoted. If we were in the championship it'd be a decent return but its not and all with the largest transfer budget this level of football has ever seen. How are people still defending this??

Getting a grip, typical meltdown after a draw, stats mean nothing it’s where you finish in the league, nufc had more possession than is in 1 of our 3-0 wins were you complaining after that, you can twist stats anyway you want. We are a league 1 side we are not great but a decent side for this division

Yeah we finished 5th with the most expensive squad in league 1 history, and you think we should only be a “decent third division side”

Fuck off.

Despite our good 30 minute start they had more of the ball than us, more shots at goal and as many on target as us over 90 minutes. They could of had a penalty when Ozturk played the man and not the ball in the first half.

JR has said he sees O9 has a RB now. I don't think he's a great RB and definitely not a no.10.

Edit: and we made 24 fouls to their 12 which tends to indicate that we were having to stop them getting beyond us.

Aye but 20 of them were by by McLaughlin so stats are skewed

They won't... its hard to defend him. After last nights game, walking away from the ground (even in the bogs at full time) other supporters were commenting roughly the same words...Now actual way of playing, no belief, handing the opposition the game, and on the playing front.. the manager takes off a full back he only just signed (because he was getting murdered despite Goochs best efforts covering him) and move a midfield player (aye ,right) into the right full back position..?????? Now a few lads who sit next to me (were commenting that we were throwing it away again and that Rotherham would score) all this and last season could see what was coming in nearly every game we have watched together. Its always the same, after the penalty miss we retreated into our shell then sat back and defended a 1-0 lead when in a commanding position. Its happened too many times to be co incidental, that negativity has to be coming from one person, Ross.
