the clean sheets are a concern;
what is a bigger concern is head drop fast after setbacks, lack of a plan b. his tactics last night when we were getting overrun in the middle... wasnt to change it when we had a chance to close out the game.
lessons arnt being learned and although we had a decent start its fair to say that cracks are being papered over.
he's getting twitchy and tetchy, everybody is getting frustrated

Looked more like gaping chasms last night

started well, penalty proved the turning point, players arses dropped out when they stepped on.
thumping long balls out starlight to them was becoming a joke. see that way too many times

We really didn't mate and I'm a happy clapper and until last night defended Ross and wanted to give him time but that broke me. We were absolutely dreadful after the penalty miss.

Rotherham were awful when put under pressure at the back and we should've been out of sight before the penalty was even given. To come out second half and not even try to press the issue or take the game to them just isn't good enough. There was no intent or game plan there. 11 wins in 29 tells you all you need to know.

We've started as bad as we finished last season. We STILL need some pace and athleticism upfront and two new full backs - and everyone knew we had these problems all summer.

Recruitment should be shot and Ross needs to either wake up and realise how to manage a team that aren't meant to play as scrappy underdogs or get out to be honest.

Hopefully the takeover gets announced in all it's glory. I need cheering up this morning.
We weren’t dreadful at all they had the last 5 mins of the first half, and the first 35 of the 2nd, we played well for the first 40mins and if we had scored the pen it would of been game over . Plus we had the best chances in the 2nd half, if you get a 1 on 1 in with the keeper with 10 mins to go you need to finish it
Despite our good 30 minute start they had more of the ball than us, more shots at goal and as many on target as us over 90 minutes. They could of had a penalty when Ozturk played the man and not the ball in the first half.

JR has said he sees O9 has a RB now. I don't think he's a great RB and definitely not a no.10.

Edit: and we made 24 fouls to their 12 which tends to indicate that we were having to stop them getting beyond us.
Doesn’t matter how many shots they had, a shot counts on the stats even if the keeper has to just bend down and pick it up, our keeper only made a couple of good saves

I wonder how this group of players, who I think are of sufficient quality to get out of this league, would fare if Ross wasn't there. If the players sorted the tactics and team on their own. I reckon we would still be around where we are now which is for me why we should be getting a manager who can offer us something more.

f***ing hell.

5 clean sheets in 25 games with a manager who said keeping clean sheets was how we’d be promoted.

3 games played against teams in the top half this season and we’ve got 2 points from 9.

We’ve kept fewer clean sheets than Bolton.

We’ve had 62 shots on goal in 8 games. Coventry have had 107. The only teams with fewer are Portsmouth (60) and Bolton (29).

While we’re 4th in terms of shots faced were 11th in terms of goals conceded - meaning teams need fewer shots to score against us than anyone else in the top half of the table.

But it’s all ok because we looked good for a little over 50 minutes last night.
Getting a grip, typical meltdown after a draw, stats mean nothing it’s where you finish in the league, nufc had more possession than is in 1 of our 3-0 wins were you complaining after that, you can twist stats anyway you want. We are a league 1 side we are not great but a decent side for this division

WE DONT LOOK DECENT.

Did you even watch the game, funny how my opinion if the game is matched by the journo,s reporting on the game. We were shit the last 5 -10 mins of 2nd half and first 30 of 2nd.

So about half the game?

And you think that’s good enough? I’ve seen you defend shite season after season, manager after manager.

So basically shit half the game. Its repetitive too.
Yes we were poor for parts of the game, but we aren’t just going to dominate every team in the league we are a team of league 1 players the same as everyone else, if we had scored the pen it prob would of been game over
