Aye, Coleman was immense. Won absolutely nowt ever and the first person in our entire history to land us rock bottom in the championship.

Aye...lets just get an inexperienced manager in the English game, from one of the shittest clubs, from one of the shittest leagues in Europe.

Christ we are better off appointing Lennon.

Seems St Mirren have changed their statement, “this afternoon” has been deleted as here

Was the skullduggery in Paisley after all

if someone can convince me that a 40 year old novice is the man to come in and stop millionaires from taking the piss then I'm all for it. Couldn't give a fuck about the style of play.

There've been a number of high profile managers that have failed. It really should be obvious to you now that the club's problems aren't solely the managers fault.

The difference this time is the owners have a bit of an understanding of football and know the club's been used by mercenary piss-takers to date. When things get tough they'll support the manager not the players imo, unlike Ellis. The players will go, not the manager. When you've got that backing you don't need to be high profile.

Sit back and watch. Don't give up hope.

Maybe give the guy a chance before you write him off?

^ proof if needed that you should never type with your forehead. ^
Be fair to him, he's only 15 and his lass he's gone out and left him with all 6 of her kids to look after

I think he is at the right age, has turned a club around before from rubbish to champions which is what we need. I think he has made a sensible choice in choosing us over Ipswich. He probably thinks he can build a dynasty here, hope he is right. It will be exciting either way I think, as I can’t imagine these new blokes will accept failure.

I don't know much about him at all, but he seems hungry and wanting to make a name for himself. I'd imagine many on here, would have been hoying their toys out the pram if we appointed Howe or Dyche, when no one had heard much about them. We've had the like of O'Neill and Moyes, respected names in the game and that hasn't worked either. Give the bloke a chance and maybe he can surprise a few.

We could appoint Dyche now and people would still twist on here, marra.

Plays good football anarl apparently. High intensity and pace. Fewest long passes in the league!

Just asked my colleague from Scotland (Kilmarnock supporter) if he knows much about Jack Ross. Apparently his job to keep up St Mirren in his first season there was incredible in its self, they looked dead and gone. Then he's won the league at a canter this year which he described as a tough league to get out of.

Sounds good

The Don has football exrerience and connections. This isn't just an off the cuff appointment this is well researched and thought through. Up and coming manager instead of another circus clown
