I think this just shows up the media for relying on the internet for their information instead of doing real investigating and reporting

far to quick to try and grab a headline instead of properly vetting a story

does it? sounds like it is him like

This 100%

First the supposed Quinn-led consortium and takeover a few weeks before the season ended that didn't even exist, which was being reported as an almost done deal by some outlets (including Sky and the BBC!) , then this. Quite embarrassing really.

If St Mirren had already lined up another manager in the last few days would that also be 'major skulduggery'? Asking for a friend.

controversial

well the st Mirren chairman says no approach has been made, SAFC had mentioned no names, yet skysports news saw fit to put up a yellow banner naming Ross and 'real' sports journalists have been naming him, as well as a national talk radio host...all seemingly off the back of twitter rumors and norhing official from SAFC

so its seems social media had driven this and the sports networks have picked it up and ran with it....SAFC have said nothing about the person they want to appoint

So with the benefit of hindsight have they been good investments? The answer is quite clearly no.
That's all i said

Then we’re not actually disagreeing about anything!

My response to the other poster was to challenge the suggestion that Sam wasted money. They’ve turned out to be shithouses, but they were very good under Sam. The whole squad was shit under Moyes, Grayson and Coleman, so every manager involved in all those signing must’ve wasted money by that metric!

Depends if St mirren are doing their second interviews next week

Hadn't they granted permission to Ipswich though? Nixon is a knacker.

pretty sure its him like mate.

Various other media outlets reported it, it was always going to cause a circus, i just felt it was a little bit in bad taste
I agree it was in bad taste and he came across a bit silly but I also don't think fans of any other club will have noticed.
