I don't get this. Someone involved in professional football like Ross surely knows the difference between a good and a bad player. Where do new managers learn stuff about the league they are in if it isn't practical hands on experience?

How will he know if he hasn’t been watching league one? It’s not exactly televised as it

Part of me loves the idea the press have just taken an educated guess and fallen flat on their face

Nowt will beat the alleged new Quinn consortium a month ago/whenever it was, the BBC and Sky both publishing pretty extensive articles saying it was pretty much a done deal  - thought only the Echo/Chronicle/similar rags that were capable of that type of thing.

I just think if you are a professional manager you are watching players all day long and get the sense of capability. If you are just going to look at managers who have already managed at that level it's probably someone who isn't going anywhere in their career. Got to try things sometimes, rather now than when we are in the Premier League again.

I dunno I assumed we’d appoint the lad hurst

It does amuse me how sensitive are to people expressing doubts

Aye our scouts done a cracking job mate. Hopefully that’s a joke

Are you suggesting managers only have knowledge of players that they play against twice a season?
