Jack Clarke

I don't think he was ready for it yet, and Harte should have known that.

After that, Ipswich was a terrible choice. If he was going to make the move this year, then it should have been to one of the smaller established clubs like Brighton, Brentfor or Palace. In the end, he's going to end up back in the Championship having to rekindle his career for the second time. He's taken a step forward to ultimately take 2 steps back.

He should bin Harte immediately.

Too many seeing Clarkes move with their Sunderland specs on, saying its a bad move for him when it's not. The lad had been here since we were in League One, he done well and got a move to the big league with a club that certainly had more ambition than our own last season.

He probably looked at us in the summer and asked himself if he could really see us challenging for promotion or was it time for him to take a chance of a big contract and Premier League footy. The worst that could happen is taht he's back in the championship on 2/3 times more money than he was here and at a club that will have parachute money to strengthen the side again for another promotion push.

Tbh, McKenna's gung-ho approach that got them promoted last season, is his big failing this season. Just like Burnley before, playing so open and so high in that league will see you get punished week after week.

Really? Luton didn't spend anything like what Ipswich have.

Ipswich have basically used their prem money to buy last year's Championship all-stars!

Doesn't look like it will keep them in the Prem, but I certainly wouldn't look forward to playing against a team including Clark, Szmodics etc in the Championship.
They didn’t spend as much but they were signing the best championship players they could with the view of bouncing straight back.

His keeper & two center halfs are out of there depth in the premier league
The left back can't defend, they are wide open at the back.

I watched the back end of there game yesterday, not a chance they'll stay up playing like they do

Their game management is awful. There's a few times this season already where they've been ahead and instead of keeping a foot on the ball and to slow things down, they keep on pushing everyone up and leaving themselves wide open.

It doesn't help that McKenna keeps switching his side around every week neither. There's no consistency in his tactics, other than this all or nothing approach, which can work in the championship, but its pure self sabotage in the league above.

What is it with people on this message board that they wish nothing but bad luck on every one of our players who goes on to try to better himself ? In the 60 years I've been going up the road to support us we've won 1 major trophy and that was 51 years ago , every single one that criticises players for moving on to better themselves for their family or just themselves would do exactly the same in their own jobs . The green eyed monster called jealousy is nothing to be proud of. FTM

I hate to say it I think Sunderland picked up the UBER cost to Ipswich given we had talent behind him.
