Very good in the championship, not so good in the premiership.

Clarke, Greaves, Szmodics, Delap etc are very good at our level, but the step up to the prem is massive which is probably why they’re not doing so well.

They still have a fighting chance like, but today was a shocking result for them.
 
If he came back he would immediately increase our chances of being promoted. The chance of him coming back are pretty much zero unless Ipswich admit they have royally fucked up spending £20m on a player

Clark has never really played in the premier league and all of his time played was not in his best position

Think delap has looked decent in a side struggling. The rest barely made a mark so far.

He’s played left wing for them. They may play a bit more narrow than we do, but it’s the same position.

For whatever reason, the manager doesn’t rate him & the chances he’s had at premier league (admittedly not a lot), he hasn’t taken.

When I’ve seen him playing for Ipswich on highlights or live games, he doesn’t seem to have that confidence to take on the full back - more than likely because prem full backs are better and deal with better wingers than Clarke.

He’s got 0 goals and only a couple of assists this season, he’s not done well. There’s been some games where he’s played 60 mins+ as well, so let’s not pretend he’s been an unused sub all season.

I love Clarke and want him back here on loan, but let’s not pretend he hasn’t had an opportunity at Ipswich.

He’s played games but not in his natural position.
