Jack Clarke

Apparently Clarke regrets moving.

Not surprised. The smart thing to do would have been to wait until January. Do the business for Sunderland in the meantime and there would have been better clubs than Ipswich in for him. He would have also had the option to remain here if we were top 2 or something in January and got us promoted. I think he needs to sack his agent, yes he’s probably doubled his wages but there’s other things to consider apart from money. He was really happy in the area by all accounts. I just don’t think the move made any sense.

Haway man you're replying to mowsy; he made that datum up on the spot.

You are poor Premier League side.

You were poor against Liverpool. Your manager thought he could outplay them 😂

You got beat 4-1 off City, had 24% possession and 1 shot in 90 minutes.

You are looking like certaincies for relegation at present.
Getting beat by Man City is hardly a result that will define our season. They’d put 4 past every team in the championship, including yourselves.

Most pundits said we were the better side first half v Liverpool. I was at that game and while I’m not sure I’d go that far, we were definitely a match for them.

Relegation certainties when we’ve not been in the bottom 3 at any stage so far this season despite playing Man City, Liverpool and Brighton? Your logic is flawed

Why do you keep referring to the Championship?

You weren't a match for Liverpool. They had over 62% possession, twice the shots you had, twice as many on target, twice as many corners. You were a long way 2nd best.

You're heading for relegation IMO. Sides need to start well to have any chance of staying up. You haven't done that. Bye.

Said this at the time, he’s behind Hutchinson and Burns at least for a start.

Szmodics started over him on Saturday, so he’s now at least 4th choice for 3 positions.

They’ve also got Ogbene, Chaplin…

I don’t begrudge the lad getting his money and wanting to play at a higher level but Harte has fucked him. He’s one option, force his way into this side and prove his mettle. I don’t think he will, been better off staying here…

I was hoping Clarke saw the bigger picture over the Summer and decided to give it another crack with us. Will never begrudge him the move, but we never learn that the grass is never greener eh.

Doubt he regrets it at this moment, however think he could have waited for a better move as don’t think Ipswich style of play suits his that much. & will come straight back down you’d think

Clarke is better than all of those mentioned

He's everything THIS board said he was / is , a good player - he'll be courted by bettet teams than us shortly.

To be fair mate we've had some quality player's off your area , Gates ( one of the best player's i've ever seen) - Muhren and Thijjsen will tell you he was a class act, Edwards , Leadbitter and ( i'll get shot down for this ) Colbeck
On the flip side, thanks for Wickham haha

He’ll do well for them in the championship next season. Harte well and truly fucked him over career wise, done well for his bank balance but set him back just like his love to spurs, wrong choice.

It’s clear as day what happend with Clarke. Wasn’t as much interest in him as expected in the summer, he agrees a new contract with the club which Harte uses as bait to any club who had been half sniffing about and tells Clarke not to sign the one with Sunderland. The club feel messed about and now feel like they have been used and accept the bid off Ipswich which wouldn’t have likely been accepted earlier on in the window and now Clarke has little to no choice but to go. Only one winner which is Ian Harte who finally got his payday!
