Jack Clarke

Two lads behind me on Saturday spent most of the second half saying "get Mundle off, he's being bullied here.." right up until he banged in the equaliser.

How is it horseshit? He was our best player for more than an entire season, by some margin anarl, hence the £20m move to a Premier League side, and hence the 392 page thread on here.
Mundle is the twice the player than Clarke.

Jack Clarke was always too good for us let’s not kid ourselves. Deserved that move up to the premier league
He wasn't always too good for us, he came while we were in league one and was on the bench for the play off final. We done as much for him as he did for us. It's not as if there was a bidding war for him was yhir. Wish him all the best, he did deserve another crack the premier league no doubt

Can we please stop pretending Clarke wasn’t as good as he was, if he played at the weekend we’d have won that game. He regularly had defenders absolutely terrified.
That’s not true about we would have won mind. Mundle & Roberts had the Plymouth defenders terrified, so it wasn’t a game we were missing a winger cutting in. Both our wingers scored.

We lost the game against Plymouth mainly because of bad defending and goalkeeping. Clarke’s not going to be helping with that.

Clarke scored 4 goals in a 3 game spell last season, extended to 6 goals on 5 games (same spell extended).
On the other hand, it took him a few seasons before he was doing that, whereas Mundle has scored in three consecutive games when he's hardly started prior to it. The signs are good. Clarke also only scored 1 goal in his first half a season in League 1.
We'll need to wait awhile before we see if Mundle is as much of a hit as Clarke has been over a sustained period, but I like the fact he uses both feet and crosses more than Clarke did. Something our striker hasn't really cashed in on too much.
I really don't care too much how Clarke does for Ipswich. It will certainly become much harder for him to have an impact, and the one game I watched him come on in, he was pretty isolated at times.
Get behind Mundle, he's got some good attributes and given the time Clarke was given he could be a real success.

Unfortunately he isn't much. He's mostly a bench warmer for a poor Ipswich side. I'm sure he'll get his chance and then we'll see if he can cut it at that level with that club.

Early days but you can't knock Mundle. Excellent performances and more goals than Clarke would have scored. 3 in 3 games is better than Clarke ever achieved here.
He’s been there for 2 games man. Christ

He's definitely got a better left foot than Clarke. I would say he's also better in the air and better defensively too.

Early days about his long term impact and Clarke definitely had 2 great seasons. I certainly have never played down Clarke but Mundle could have barely made a better start to this season.
I take that as a compliment coming from him 😂

You’re honestly one of the most clueless posters on here.
I'm surprised Sky haven't poached you yet 😂
It’s funny how opinions on Mundle have changed. The search function is a magnificent tool
I openly said he looked lost on the left wing last season, he did. He was constantly cutting inside and just shovelling it square or back. I also said he looked promising on the right side.

He's somehow totally turned that around. He crossed the ball several times with his left foot at the weekend. Fair play to the kid.

Aye I hate this period when we pretend he was average

He was amazing

He wasn't amazing was he?
Very good solid player for us and knew where to put the ball however not amazing.
Struggled to defend, easy to mark out of games and work out with predictability.
We sold at a very good price and will struggle in the prem and is a lower half of this division player.

Very good footballer but hardly amazing.
