Jack Clarke

Looked very average in a role that didn’t look natural. Played narrow. As much as I love him and he was amazing for us, he’s gonna struggle in the prem, especially at Ipswich. Still can’t believe he never left for a team more established.
Didn't see the game last night but have wondered how much our style of play and the freedom he had was helping him look so good. Plus coming up against championship defenders and having less work to do in his own half.

Will be a big test for the lad this year. I wish him well and as you say he was brilliant for us.

Yeah I have a feeling for some reason, he might struggle a bit there. Despite being in the PL, and perhaps through a bias lense, he had it made here, the set up and playing in front of 40k fans who love him (apart from the PL football and wages of course), its important for a player

Early days ... but I'd imagine the next 5 games are going to be a pivotal for them and him.

Coming up against better defences and not having the benefit of being the focal point of the entire team might make him grow or we see if he really is a pl winger

Always like the kid.. still gutted he's gone

Apparently played in the middle
Just had a look at Flashscore based on what the poster above mentioned & they’ve got them lined up as three behind the striker & two sitting midfielders, so it looks naturally narrower. He was on the left side obviously.

Saying that, we’ve got the same formation on the app vs Burnley so it probably means nowt. Our two widemen start off with chalk on their boots.

Portman Road pitch iirc is a lot smaller than ours ... it pretty tight. Not saying that going make it tougher for players like Clarke

OP was desperate to cement his ITK status by jumping on a bit of hearsay here.

I don't know what's worse, the people that desperate for Internet popularity that they pretend to be some sort of conduit to the inner workings of the club or the people that desperate to have such a conduit that they deify those that pretend to be ITK.
