I’m gutted about this
But
I have a mate who is a villa fan. He saw us play last season and he said it reminded him of when grealish played for them. Only tactic was to get the ball to grealish. He said they became a better team after he left.
I think RLB is a pretty level headed and philosophical guy, and he can think flexibly and get the whole team playing well even without JC.
As long as everything isn't measured in Elliot Anderson's, that makes it look much worse! It’s about right £20 million, Rowe was sold by Norwich for £14 million, Suummerville went for £27 million so it’s in the right ball park.
yeah but last season, for some weird reason, the full backs weren't allowed to overlap and so Roberts was ineffective - last week he had Hume & Rigg helping him out and he was mint and it helped Clarke that Cirkin was also mint. We looked fantastic last week.I’m gutted about this

I couldn't care less about Dan Neil to be honest. I'd have dropped him off at Portman Road for a medical.Only way to soften this blow now will be to tie Dan Neil down, get the two strikers through the door (Wilson and Simic) possibly even Mendy as well.
Anything else would be a bonus.
I’m still to be convinced about Mundle but I’m more hopeful about him progressing than I am with Ba, Rusyn, Hemir et al.
RR article highlighting that Wilson played his better games from the left wing and scored more goals from the there is encouraging however I don’t know how that would affect how we play as he doesn’t appear to be a player who’ll work back and do the defensive work.
Well see. A sad day, absolutely gutted about Clarkey moving on but wish him all the best and we have to move on ourselves.
BBC and Sky sports both describing the deal as 15+5We could given them a 125% sell on clause
Where have you seen that? I’ve seen £3m from an Ipswich journo.
Hey ho. He’s a footballer, he’s left to chase the money. But SAFC youvutter fuckwits… amazing how it’s done in 36 hours where we take weeks and still fail. Shit show of a club.
Yeah - one of the great things about last week was that Jack wasn't the focal point, and we were dangerous everywhere as a result.yeah but last season, for some weird reason, the full backs weren't allowed to overlap and so Roberts was ineffective - last week he had Hume & Rigg helping him out and he was mint and it helped Clarke that Cirkin was also mint. Short sighted. Neil is pivotal to the team, just as much as Clarke was. Well maybe not as much as that. But if we’re not careful, we could lose both.I couldn't care less about Dan Neil to be honest. I'd have dropped him off at Portman Road for a medical.
Clarke, I'm gutted about.
“Practically guaranteed” you said. I’m asking where you get that fromBBC and Sky sports both describing the deal as 15+5
It's as good as done palHas he actually gone? Nothing official yet.
Jobe's contracted to the end of 27/8 - 4 years. In 2 years time there will be 2 years left.Yes because 1 year left, value decreases.
And brought in Jobe and Mayenda, who are now starting and playing well. Then some players with potential, like Triantis, Seelt, Auochiche.Like we did when we sold Stewart and lihadji you mean?
I don't think it's fair to say chasing the money. It's his career, he wants to test himself at the highest level, why wouldn't he? He could wait 3 or 4 years and we might not go up.. If he had gone to Leeds for example, I would agree but he has genuinely moved up and given himself a change at progressing.Hey ho. He’s a footballer, he’s left to chase the money. But SAFC youvutter fuckwits… amazing how it’s done in 36 hours where we take weeks and still fail. Shit show of a club.
Aye, compare Clarke's attitude with Pritchard...although he may have had disagreements with the club, he allegedly refused to play.Look I'm serving my notice period at the moment before moving to another role, i moved because it was a bigger opportunity and more money. If I was a footballer I'd be thinking exactly the same. People are completely off it if they thought when presented the opportunity to go prove yourself in the PL at a team with a good manager and limited pressure he'd hang around here on the off chance we might get promoted this year, or next, or next...
Now on the other hand, I think it's absolutely f***ing ridiculous that as soon as a player leaves people think that he was agitating for a move. We saw him tracking back to levels we hadn't seen before in RLB's new system. We never saw him refuse to play, or throw his dummy out - even when Doddsy tried his best to ruin the whole team last year.
It;'s perfectly possible for a playerto like it here and, when an opportunity presents itself, want to step up.
Naa it's not. I've seen plenty of Dan Neil.Short sighted. Neil is pivotal to the team, just as much as Clarke was. Well maybe not as much as that. But if we’re not careful, we could lose both.
Jonathan Rowe, one year left on contract just moved from Norwich for £14m rising to £17m.If he’d have stayed until next summer you’d be lucky to get £10 million for him. 1 year left massively impacts fees
