My point to Kildare was that just because someone has played a season in the premier league doesn't mean he's worth a ridiculous amount of money.

Absolutely mate, it’s called ambition and genuine intent to at least make the play offs. I will guarantee you anyone who pays £25m for him and this ownership will sell him. Rutter as I think many including myself have said going for £40m when he isn’t the player Clarke is.
 
He'll leave next week, mundle will step up and bang in 10 goals and at the end of the season we'll be passing Clarke when he goes down and we go up :cool:

Whilst I agree with you in my opinion Clarke is a better player than Rutter and Summerville. But….no one has got anywhere near the figures those lads went for. And we don’t seem to have had much interest either this summer. It’s a strange one.

If we are genuinely wanting promotion, but accepting every player has a sale price,the lad shouldn’t be sold for any less than £30m.
