Jack Clarke

What evidence do you have that Clarke has driven this?

That rat Harte, yes. Clarke has been a model pro turning in fantastic performances.
Clarke's the client, he could have told him to cut it out..he didn't do that, it's all done with the clients full knowledge

Not if Ipswich are in the same league as us next season. He might get one season in the premier league but without doubt they are one of the favourites to drop back down.

They are one of the favourites but it’s not a certainty they will.
He could get sold on again to another PL club even if they do go down.

From a players perspective why would you stop at a club in the championship when you can move up a division and test yourself even if it’s just for a season whilst doubling or tripling your wages? Pretty much would do the same.

Might be unpopular but I agree with this

Also club sacrificing a few million to get a sell on % suggests getting the initial money into the bank isn’t the primary focus and its more about getting the best overall deal

He knows the extra money he will get by moving to the premier league. If it didn’t interest him he would have signed a contract here by now. The club has known he was going hence him not featuring in any promotional work for new kits. He’s going, another club might fancy a slice at such a cheap price and him and his agent may hold out a day or two and see what transpires.
And we're short of our best player against Burnley with no replacement.

Harte works for Clarke man, not the other way around. He's not some poor helpless bairn being led around by his evil stepmother. If Harte's fishing for a move for him it's because he wants one.

If he impresses he could get picked up by an established club either way. Fair play to him.

So as I’ve said before his ambition could just be financial.

what's he supposed to do though if there's no other offer on the table even though he had a blinding season? just keep playing for us on comparable pennies? and hope the owners change tact and show some ambition?

if we're both in the same league next season it's still win win for him both from a footballing perspective and financially. Ipswich will be in a great position to fight to go straight back up. and have already shown they're prepared to spend to achieve it

our ownership group will just not compete financially for promotion

Great, so we are swapping the best player in the squad for 3 players I had never heard of before this window, all from foreign leagues.

Ah well, at least we have a tremendous track record or recruiting from abroad…
You've not heard of the King of Gondor?
