Ultimately the players actions yesterday have made us look stupid. We are now the club that sacks a manager after 5 games.
This is possibly the stupidist, naive thing I have ever read on here.

It's clear that what's happened has polarised opinion between those who agree he should have gone and those that think the players attitude stinks and that's understandable. Personally I think neither PDC nor the players comes out of it well, but regardless of opinions it's done and all we can do is get on with it and support our club!
They had the trophies to back up it. Di Canio is a league two gob shite strutting about like he has the record of a Fergie, Trappatoni Mourihno etc etc
They all had to start somewhere
Sounds like both sides were at fault tbh.
How? We sacked a manager 5 games into a new season. Surely you can see how badly that reflects on the club? It projects an image of a club that is clueless. He should have either been booted in the summer or given more time. From what I've heard PDC crossed the line yesterday, however the players were very quick to force him out.
No love affair from me.
Didn't want the bloke here in the first place - see my posts when he was being appointed - don't like his theatre style with the orchestrating the crowd - see posts from months ago.
But what I think is wrong is players who are 20th in the league feeling they are being victimised because he's laying into them. Some of these players lie around in money in casinos, damage cars and go on the piss during the week. That's how much respect they have for us punters who help to pay their wags. So, Di Canio called them a pack of useless ***** - good, they are. Bout time someone said sub-standard performances just aren't good enough.[DOUBLEPOST=1379964408][/DOUBLEPOST]
Right, these same players who leak stories to the press about diet regimes - other clubs' players just get on with it - look at Arsenal and Wenger.
The difference is that Arsenal players wanted to win things and so listened to their manager. Our players don't want to win things they want to challenge the manager's authority and then cry victimisation.
and theres the sense of it from an outsider. If any working relationship breaks down there is fault on both sides. Its not "the players" or "the management" or even "PDC" it a collective failure that we need to be putting right pretty quickly. The witch hunt doesn't achieve much and cant be arsed with the ITK gossip. Paolo kept us up when we were sleep walking to relegation under MoN. Then its gone tit up. We move on. Im Sundeland til I die. PDC was just passing through. Faster than I thought but hes gone and were still here. Haway the lads.Sounds like both sides were at fault tbh.
What would reflect worse is letting the lunatic continue. At least we've acted quickly. Takes a big man to admit to a mistake.
Where is this from? Any suggestion of who?
If it's true I'd guess: Cabral, Giaccherini, Mannone, Altidore and Ba.
Why?
Why would they call us that? Because we would be seen to be treating our employees in a fascist way and it would sell papers.
Why would it damage the club? Didn't you notice SAFC making News At Ten's opening headline back in April? There isn't a great deal of support for fascism in our society and our association with fascism and the perceived fascist treatment of our employees probably wouldn't make us very popular.
What the fuck for?!
He clearly didn't have a f***ing clue which weren't worth keeping and which ones should be kept at all cost, but you want the new man to take notes off him?
Unbelievable![]()
You're actually drawing parallels with the way Di Canio has been acting and the concept of Fascism?
Sir Alex Ferguson is a staunch Socialist, can his behaviour towards players be compared to Communism then?[DOUBLEPOST=1379970198][/DOUBLEPOST]
Did he have any say in our outgoings?
Bear in mind he'll be under a gagging order so this is one side of the story coming out now. It's not a balanced view at all.
Mix Alex Ferguson with Bryan Robson and you get that picture of Kevin Ball. (see link in previous post)
I can't begin to work out what that means for his managerial abilities. Is Steve Bruce the midpoint of those two?
