Winger
Biggest pile of shite I’ve ever readLets address a couple of things. The comment you have replied to was based on the errors he would routinely make the Championship and before a ball was kicked in the Prem. Another thing I'd add is that I have since re-considered this position various times this season and even expressed them in this thread alone.
I have now witnessed him play this season at RB, LB, CM, and RW. I think his best position is an outsider winger that has some pace and the ability to put in good crosses from deep. He is very tenacious and loves a tackle, which makes our high pressing a much mightier weapon if he is higher up the pitch. He is also very durable.
He may not have the intelligence of quick feet of say a Lee Fee, which may limit his potential.
As a RB, I think he has shown to be a mixed bag, but his inability to judge when a winger is going to try and knock past him has been costly, think of Leeds at home. He does fall asleep letting in wingers past him.
as CM, he could work, but probably lacks the intelligence to see things quickly enough and is probably a bit to slow with the ball at his feet to misdirect opposition players.
The captaincy seemed to weigh him down a bit, which is understandable as he's not experience enough yet
Overall, he hasn't been this giant liability harming us and has been ever present and durable at a time when were very short of numbers. I think his attacking traits make him an interesting player to have, but has a defender I'm not convinced he's solid enough. RLB concurs with this, where if we had our best 11, he wouldn't be in it. Mukiele or Geertruida would be RB, Reinildo would be LB, CM there is too many good players there, at RW (his best position) he is not dislodging Traore.
