I couldn't give a fuck if the Mags win anything. My mate's question to me when I asked him was this, if Boro wins anything FA Cup, League, etc would it bother you? The answer to this question is no so that is now my answer as to whether it is a derby or not.
I wanted them to win the league cup on the day they did, whereas I was ecstatic when the mags lost the final the other year.My mate's question to me when I asked him was this, if Boro wins anything FA Cup, League, etc would it bother you? The answer to this question is no so that is now my answer as to whether it is a derby or not.
I couldn't give a fuck if the Mags win anything.
So is that now not a Derby?
Let's face it, if you're not a top 6 Prem side, you are ganna win fuck all anyway.
Depends on your lifetime marra.
Not in mine they haven't.
They've largely been conspicuous by their absence.
Still a lesser Derby though.
That's actually canny reasoned and fair, I still think of it as a derby but was right behind them that night in the Uefa cup final. My mate's question to me when I asked him was this, if Boro wins anything FA Cup, League, etc would it bother you? Bit of a stretch that likeWell in my lifetime following Sunderland (November 95) the only real highlights have been 7th place finishes which should have been higher and got to one major cup final. Sadly I've seen relegations with the lowest number of points twice, relegated to the third tier where we ended up for four years.
In the same time frame Middlesbrough attracted at one point some of the biggest names in football, won a major trophy which got them into Europe and even getting to a European final.
Yes its a lesser derby I totally agree but still has far more meaning than most other matches we play. I mean it is likely we'll get around 2,000 tickets again and the demand will be big when most other games will either make general sale or be very low points.
Us giving a fuck is what they crave man.I could, massively, I am dreading the day the Saudis bring them success.

I think if we treat it as a derby we perform better, like in the Mowbray home game.
Aye, Stewart and Diallo scored. So Ravenelli, Juninho, Emerson, Merson, Gazza etc werent big household names then?
The one where we won 2-0?

yeah, whether they have done better than us over a given time-period is totally irrelevant. So have Leicester, I don't consider them a derby matchBit of a stretch that like
HMRC like this post .Like I said marra. Depends on your lifetime.
I've also seen Boro locked out of their own ground because they were so skint.
Seen them spend two years in the third tier, 34 (9 more than us) years in the second tier, and win fuck all apart from a league cup.
Ravanelli wasSo Ravenelli, Juninho, Emerson, Merson, Gazza etc werent big household names then?

Not that different then , really.Like I said marra. Depends on your lifetime.
