Is Boro a derby?

No, though it does have slightly more edge than a usual game. But that's only because they insist on it being a derby so it builds up a level of annoyance. In contrast am still upset and sickened by the mag cup result in Jan. I can't remember the score against Boro in the last game, think it may have been a draw?

No, there’s a bit more meaning in it. Though potentially it’s less serious than whoever random rival of the season ends up being: Portsmouth, Luton, Coventry and so on.

If we faced them in a late stage cup game or playoff final, it would potentially ramp up a bit. As things stand most of our games with them don’t really impact the ark of either sides season. Agree with most of the previous comments.

Question to the Boro fans; Do you consider us or the Mags as your ‘Derby’? Or is it both? I’ve never seen Boro as a Derby really, but that’s probably because I’ve never lived or worked amongst any Boro fans probably. I’ve always thought we both had more in common, than the Mags 🤷🏼‍♂️

It was considered one back in the 90s for definite.
But never close to the mags.

Now I just like to say it's not and the boro are irrelevant to us. I really couldn't give a shit about them though.

No. Never has been to me. I party like it's 1999 when we beat the Skunks & in the depths if we lose. It's a massive "Meh" with Boro. May as well be Barnsley or Bournemouth for all I care. Just another game to me. The Smoggies on the other hand it's their Cup Final. I used to work amongst them. Didn't like it that I didn't give a fuck about their poxy little club.

Careful though. Don’t single out that one goal.

On the face of it. It was a pointless goal against our none rivals.

We scored more important goals last season.

Our record down there despite being awful we've still had some great moments

The 2-0 win in 2005, Millers volley in last minute in 07, the FA cup replay under ONeil
