*~*~* Ipswich v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

I can’t see how Beale was responsible for that, unless he said, ‘hey, lads, make sure to miss any sitters and give away soft goals’.
He will have a key role to play in keeping the players’ spirits up, but the main story is about recruitment.

It's going to be toxic on Friday if we lose. And to be honest it's what's required to get rid of this f***ing idiot. I never want to see us lose, but he has to go. He's appalling.

We never deserved to lose, strange subs and poor mistakes and decisions. Beale loses next game and he really is up against it.
Ipswich were there for the taking in the first half. No let's wait until they score then put the subs on with minutes to go FFS. Coward appointment,no tactical nous. :(

You can’t blame the manager for a poor substitution if the player can’t hit the target from 14 yards.

Scores a goal, it’s an excellent substitution, not that this board would have recognised that fact.
Can see why Bellingham gets picked so much if Aouchiche is the alternative.

Our best player on the night was taken off, and the person who replaced him was shite.

Nope, I can’t see how that’s the responsibility of Beale either

We can’t defend set pieces and it’s an area teams know they can hurt us from. Yet we constantly give stupid fouls away against a team with the player with the most assists from free kicks since 2022.

Absolute joke from some of our players - idiotic and unacceptable. Shows they are thick as fuck
Aouchiche should be ashamed by his 'performance' today.
Better option than bringing a striker on, apparently...

f***ing fuming here, mags match was predictable and easy to accept but this f***ing reaction, chance to win after everyone else has
Absolutely appalling

I've said it many times on here? What set Michael Beale out from the rest of candidates?

Apart from being out of work, his CV isn't that inspiring. He only looked like a half decent coach. There's nothing outstanding. What made the board think he is a better option than John Eustace or Nathan Jones? Nevermind Will Still or Kim Hellberg!
I'd love to know this, he was out of work so it wasnt like we needed to get permission to talk to him so we clearly spoke to others (due to the time we went without a manager), we either got rejected due to our demands on them or they really thought Beale was the best out there for us. Either option makes me worry for the club with them in charge.
