Good to see Stokes retained and earning a few quid

Yeah he was quite poor by his standards last season in the IPL

More pleased for Buttler myself, he is nothing short of a outstanding T20 cricketer and his performances last year in the IPL were incredibly consistent especially as he was opening.

From a selfish side the best thing about Stokes becoming a multi millionaire via the IPL is that whatever money he makes in county cricket is fairly irrelevant so hopefully the bits and pieces he does play over the next ten years will be for Durham. I can't see a wealthy county like Surrey offering him an extra 50 or 75 grand to play for them being any real incentive especially if his family are settled up here.
