Buttler - 39 average... at a strike rate of 119. Yep he's a shoe-in. He's always been a little vulnerable at the start of the innings.

Malan still looking a bit out of nick. Of the World Cup winning XI, obviously Plunkett's out. The only other vulnerable one is Morgan really.

Absolutely. Best finisher in this format in the world. Batting too high this series which isn’t really his fault given players missing/injured etc.

What’s snarky like?

He’s one of our best ever one day batsmen, WC winner and one of the best in the world.

He’s had an average day by his own exceptionally high standards, but suggesting his place should be in question is just complete and utter bollocks.
 
Buttler has had a poor day but I don’t think his position should come into question his ability to turn a game around is scary his shot choices are unreal however he is not our best keeper and foakes would be the main challenge shame we could not find room for both.

but buttlers batting ability merits his position
 
Great chase, shame they messed up the 1st one.
The Currans need to be dropped next match - wood.in for Tom, Sam may stay if theres no obvious alternative

No harm giving him a try in this series but he isn’t here so can’t be but what I’m saying who’s another keeper option as bairstow won’t play keeper and open but it would have been good to see him get one or two games in other than Ireland. I mean we give both Curran’s a game and plenty time with crap bowling figures and batting figures.
 
Well done lads, but it still annoys me when we open the door for other teams. Don’t have a problem stokes and Jonny going for it, but once the first ones out at 280-2, the other should be saying he’s batting through and leaving the risk to Malan, Buttler, etc. - we just always find a way of opening the door to teams
