Ffs man

It’s disappointing comments but I can’t say I’m surprised

Gower is the dream

Just oozes class

I love cook and Strauss so I’m chuffed it might be them

I just really want to avoid the gobshite, sound bite crowd, saying controversial things for the sake of it

I think there are some good presenters out there male and female but they would be really missing a trick not getting gower

It’ll be mark Nicholas I imagine, who is about as bad as it gets in my opinion

Still not confirmed by c4 yet mind
Can't stand Nicholas, was good at C4 but has just turned into a sycophant.

Depends surely about what exactly they're commenting on. If they're merely commentating purely on the play all that is required is a pleasant speaking voice and a rudimentary knowledge of the game,Isa Guha certainly possesses those qualities, but I'm happier listening to someone who's proven at the highest level of the game when the finest technical points of batting or bowling are being analysed..
Don't necessarily disagree with that but having played at the top level doesn't necessarily mean you can analyse and communicate that analysis well and vice versa. Botham for instance will always have my utmost respect as a cricketer and competitor but I always thought he offered very little insight into what was going on in the match he was commentating on. Tony Crozier was fantastic and I'm sure a lot of people would listen to him but wouldn't give the time of day to Guha or the Australian commentator (whose name has totally escaped me) to even decide if it's worthwhile listening to them.

Mel Jones is the Aussie. She's very good

Still not confirmed then? Just over 48 hrs to go. Shambles from Disney/Star/ESPN/BCCI/whoever tbh
It would appear that Star are holding out until the eleventh hour in the hope of an increased bid. A car of who blinks first -BT or Star.

Certainly natural ability doesn't mean you'll be a great analyst e.g. Botham who thought Rimmington was a better signing than Botham.
I'm never convinced of someone who hasn't performed at the top level convincing me when analysing an individual's technique at the top level e.g. A failed test batsman Key telling how a struggling test batsman Sibley should adjust.
Correction. .. "better signing than Onions"

Yeah, I knew what you meant about Onions :) No problem with you holding that opinion but I just don't agree. It's like saying what can Benitez, Mourinho and Wenger do to help Gerrard, Lampard and Henry be better players as they didn't play at the highest level. It's given more authenticity if they've been there, done it but if there's logic to it why would you not listen?

Novice question - what time (UK) are they likely to have drinks/lunch etc.

Planning on getting up early a few days to watch before work but don't wanna get up to find they're having a break.

4am start
Lunch 6-6.40
Afternoon session 6.40-8.40
Tea 8.40-9
Evening session 9-11.30 ish

drinks last a couple of mins only
How come were starting at 4 when we started at 430 in Sri Lanka.

I've googled and thats 930am India time. That can't be right.

Maybe then mean 4am programme start.

Obviously, if on C4, you could watch on +1, 5-7am then during the lunch break go forward an hour to C4 and watch it live.
I think when football is on a channel that has a +1 channel they aren't allowed to show it on the +1 channel as it's effectively a re-run but they've only paid for the live broadcast rather than re-runs/highlights. So be careful if you set a recording on a +1 channel.
