If we'd kept Mannone .....

If, but , maybe - usually all arguable and meaningless, but yes - a reliable Sunday League keeper and we'd probably be staying up. Sad but true, not just because of the obvious increase in basic saves, but the resulting confidence incease that would bring throughout the team.

People forget how many mistakes Mannone made.... we made a poor defence when he was with us and he made errors. Our defence is worse now and he wouldn’t have made a difference to us

He was an average keeper at best but was streets ahead of Camp, Steele and Ruiter. I still stand by my estimation of 10-15 points better off if he had stayed.

No chance he’d have got us another 5 points let alone 15

Is palming out was poor as well woukd always gan straight to an opponent rather than out
Hank, I've just watched Camp's fumbled ball spill that led to Reading's penalty and I really can't believe it. It's f***ing embarrasing. This guy is supposed to be a professional for fuck's sake. The thing that really gets to me is that he's been so inconsistent almost every game he's played. Unbelievable!

The goalkeeper situation.....Vito would add an extra 15 points very easily = Survival in this very average league.
Not the greatest keeper but very more competant than the shite we have at the club.

Solid keeper and a strong centre spine is always what you start with.....we have got neither.

There's people suggesting we'd have been competing this season, which ignores the total collapse in front of the keeper and is absolute f***ing nonsense. Keepers have been shite, but by and large so has almost everything in front of them. We'd still be almost relegated with Mannone in goal.

Even a half decent, competent goalkeeper which we had in Mannone would have been enough. Those 20+pts Ruiter, Steele and Camp have cost us is the difference between stopping up and relegation.
I wonder whether bullshitter Bain would still argue that £2m fee and god knows how much wasted on bringing in these three is still a good deal.
