If we'd kept Mannone .....

We're in this mess because Short gave TOO MUCH money, the exact f***ing opposite of what you posted.
Shorts decisions. Shorts fault. No investment this season . Relegation zone in the championship because of Ellis short . All facts . Not to mention the stupid c@nt loaning out borini and khazri. It’s ok though because we brought in Ashleigh fletcher. Unbelievable any safc supporter can’t blame short

Rose tinted glasses. He's made plenty mistakes this season; two against Burton alone were as bad as owt we've seen from rioter or camp.

Only came back in at the weekend after being dropped again for 4/5 games hasn't he? Clearly better than what we have but the defence is just as bad as the keepers, he would have changed fuck all as his confidence is brittle too.

That's because we were 160m debt man ffs! To spend MORE money would be the stupidest thing ANY football club has ever done in the history of football ffs.

:lol::lol::lol:
You're actually mentally challenged you like.
Ok no bother Ellis . Have a nice time in America you utter horrible ****

I'd like to bet that Short won't walk away from SAFC out of pocket.
?

The good thing is he will, over 100m in fact, probably more which he has fuck all chance of getting back as he's in to the tune of £160m+. At least there may be a crumb of comfort in that.

Lost track of the posters on here who called him worse than shite.

We tried to replace Manone on the cheap not once, not twice but three times!

Now we are paying more for three shit players than we would have paid to keep him.

And yes wed not be anywhere near the bottom three if we had a decent keeper.

Mannone should of been replaceable, he wasn’t exactly Pickford.easily.

We have no keepers on the books.

Only three mediocre footballers that owned their own elbow pads. Thats all Short wanted.

I'd like to bet that Short won't walk away from SAFC out of pocket.
I'd also suggest that SAFC has been near fatally damaged by Short's involvement.
Who's the biggest loser?
Obviously us. Short took a 10 year gamble keeping us in the PL. It failed, and now we're paying the price.

I'm not defending Short here, I'm just saying that to say "he hasn't invested" is completely wrong.

With the benefit of hindsight we should of kept him yes, but the goalkeeper situation typifies Sunderland by replacing bang average players with worse. It is amazing that Sunderland have had 3 cracks at replacing Mannone with a keeper of equal standard and failed.
Not really that surprising when we sold him for 2 mill and then didnt want to spend any actual money on getting someone else.

Of course we were going to end up with a worse player, it just is a bit of a shame that you really do get what you pay for in life
