If we win Tuesday

Moving games to Sunday will have a knock on with 3rd teams/umpires etc. Surely you just stick to Saturday. If teams can't get a side out because they prefer watching England play football then fair dos. Played many times when tournament games have been on over the years.

DCL meeting tonight - expect something to happen for Saturday's games. Probably move them to Sunday.

I'd be up for starting earlier on the Saturday though.

moving them to sunday just moves the problem elsewhere - we have 2 teams on a sunday and have a few lads that play on both days - its unreasonable to move them as that puts pressure on us to get 4 teams out(which i doubt will happen).

I'd be up for starting earlier as well.

Darlington and District League have moved to Sunday which I'm not happy with but we have stronger teams out as a result.

Seen a few teams saying they want to start at 9ish. NYSD have said they can be flexible with start times as well i think, as long as both sides agree along with umpires

The best thing I've seen online is a ruling that both teams can move it to any mutually convenient time over the weekend.

The sad thing is that if England get to the cricket FINAL next year there'll be less of an outcry.

Have the NEPL made any decision on their Saturday fixtures yet? Thought they'd have put something on twitter about it but can't see anything.

The meeting tonight is the standard monthly exec meeting. There is nothing on the agenda to discuss rearranging games and nor should there be IMO. No doubt it will be brought up though.

In addition, moving start times may worsen the situation with lads working on a Saturday morning, childcare etc
