If we had a manager in charge with a fancy foreign name

We could and should have scored six or seven away from home with a makeshift side and an average age of 22 years old. Yes we didnt get control first half and it was a bit sloppy but putting it all into context it was an excellent performance and a few of the kids who have missed out came in and acquitted themselves extremely well.
Agree, I just think on another day against different opposition it might well have ended up back firing. Then again he might not have picked the same team! Happy with it of course and good to see the youngsters getting game time and doing OK.

Were we that good tonight? Don't get me wrong, great 3 points but we were very sloppy at times and Wigan were poor. I'm not anti-Mowbray either but seems like a lot of fans just go off results rather than the actual performance. Nice to see young lads getting game time in wins of course but there were plenty of mistakes being made it there.
You must have watched a different game to me. We were superb.

What is to dislike about him. He seems a proper good bloke to me. He might have limitations as a manager, but doing a fantastic job, but to not like him as a person is weird. He's a lovely bloke by everything I have seen of him.
Don't like how much he waffles on ,can't stand it actually just no need for it, it's like he's trying far to hard to be liked, but he is liked, just needs to stop slavering on too much ,just my opinion.

I don’t like him eating during interviews like, grinds in me.
I hope that always my biggest gripe with him mind

Aye I think you've answered the question mate, he's recognised an opportunity tonight and taken a bit of a gamble. He's trusted them, in fairness I have already really liked what I have seen of Ba and Michut before tonight's game. Games coming thick and fast and loads of injuries, TM says in his PM interview we need 18 we can rely on not 13 or 14 so he's wanting to blend them into the squad whenever possible.

Well…. Credit has got to be given to the people who brought the players in. Can we honestly say Mowbray has done anything to change these players?

This isn’t knocking him one bit, but not giving him credit that Roberts & Diallo can flick the ball about. Same way I’ll not jump on him the next poor result
Yep, same as how Guardiola doesn't deserve any credit because Haaland and De Bruyne are good at football. Or how Ferguson was nothing special because he had Ronaldo and Rooney.

What are you on about

Might be easier for you to tell me what he’s actually done differently to Neil? Somebody else signed the players, they were already doing the job before he was appointed. He’s got a very good set of players given to him. He hasn’t turned them into skilful individuals. He’s even said himself he hadn’t had the chance to put his stamp on things as he doesn’t want to change things too much.

As I said, the next match it doesn’t go right, it’s not necessarily his fault either. Like the next Cardiff at home or second half against Burnley when it was all Mowbray’s fault going by a lot of comments here.

He played a blinder with Robert’s earlier in the season going public with his praise. He’s done some good, some bad. He’s doing alright.

It’s really strange isn’t it 😂😂

Comes across as really decent bloke, and you know what he’s done a good job so far

Thought Mowbray was a safe pair of hands and that his football might not always be the most eye catching as he was about results rather than “style of play”, “projects” and the other crap you hear these days in football but to some extent I’ve been wrong there.

A few very tepid Tony Mowbrays red N White army tonight.

With a We hate Boro caveat at the end. But sad some of our support are too daft to separate local rivalry from the professional game

The tea lady could be managing the team right now.
Tonights starting 11 tonight we're drawn out of a hat and the changes weren't made until everyone on here screamed and whined enough (you could see an assistant come down and whisper in Mowbrays ear, these are the changes the SMB are clambering for), don't leave it too late or there will be a meltdown 😉
