This was never a ‘problem’ years ago the people who can/want to go I’d guess areIt won’t be as easy to get rid when every potential secondary buyers knows there’s a chance they’ll be turned away. Which is the entire point of the exercise.
The away club make no money from selling away tickets.
The away club make no money from selling away tickets.
The home clubs, home police and those on the verge of almost getting away tkts for starters.
If the system changes there won't now be loads of tickets for folk.No mate. This “dicks” the gas that aren’t travelling the country but passing their tickets on. Keep up.
Only a drama for those who are cheating the current system.
Well they could be.OK. No usable loyalty points.
Aye. Me da waking me up at 7 o’clock on Saturday mornings with a shout of “there’s a car load of lads here reckon you said you fancied going to the match at last night in Annabels/Finos/Ku Club………….do you want his bacon sarnies lads?”. Nee wonder I moved to the other end of the country.I've had no email but I might take my passport down to Manchester just in case. The days of deciding on a Friday night if you were going to the away game the following day have long gone. Sadly !
Well they could be.
I get that at the moment though low totals of loyalty points can't be used because tickets go to 10 upwards. Mostly higher.
Same. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t benefitted from it a few times but tbh, happy to sit in the home end now as I take my young lad.As an exile it’s screwing up my only way of getting away tkts but I think it’s a good thing to do anarl. Obviously a few things will need to be ironed out before it eventually sinks in to almost everyone that it’s a fair system.
Thats for completely different reasons. They introduced those checks to stop known hooligans from getting into the stadiums. And as a result some Italian grounds are a total pain in the arse to get into. They’ve been doing it on the continent for years. I was at Inter Milan a few weeks back and they checked tickets and ID of everyone.
Ok.You can only use points if you have a season card. The phases are always "season card holders with x or more points",
This was never a ‘problem’ years ago the people who can/want to go I’d guess are
Always a sob story from the odd or two but it’s really not worth all this sort of hassle
Ok.
I've never had a season card.
I've got loyalty points.
I've been to away games.
But they were likely general sale, or loyalty points? Can't remember now.
Ok, not been away for a while but I always got tickets for London games - they must have been general sale then if what you say is right.General sale for sure.
They may have built up all the points without going to any games in anticipation of being guaranteed a tkt for next seasons CL Final. But why would they now, of all times decide to not bother going now? Build up all the points and think I am not gonna bother with all these games against the likes of city,
Ok, not been away for a while but I always got tickets for London games - they must have been general sale then if what you say is right.
Got lucky didn't I!as London games don't seem to go to general sale anymore.
I’m a ****. I’d have had it.i'm not going to brighton because i'm away that weekend, i could quite easily get a ticket and pass it on and get another loyalty point but that would be a **** trick.
They could have gone to all of those 15 games and still wouldn't get a single ticket this season.
A lot of those games that went to season ticket holders only did so barely, even Blackburn where we had 7k tickets was still fastest finger first for only a few hundred tickets.
I'll use my lad as as example. He's 11 now, he's had a season ticket since he was 4. Last few years he's wanted to start going to away games. We've been to as many as practical, but the vast majority of games that have gone to season ticket level have been midweek games, not practical for a 8, 9,10 year old. The non-midweek games that have gone to that level have been the super long trips to places like Portsmouth - and we've done most of those. Still only on 10 points though.
The way things are now, he'll simply never be able to go to another away game in his life. You couldn't get a bigger Sunderland fan, but fair enough, he didn't "put in the miles" and he deserves it because I wouldn't let him miss school to travel to an away game on a Tuesday night.
That’s not the point though.People helping mates out has been going on from the time Noah put a donkey on a boat, are you saying you have never once benefited from someone’s ticket?
I dont like that idea for us. Would likely mean people on zero points would have the same chance of getting away tickets as someone on 40 points. Thats not right or fair and huge middle finger to a lot who did a sizeable number of aways when we were not so good. For England away games they have a 70/30 ballot where 70% of tickets go to people with the most points, and 30% of tickets go into a ballot. Probably fair overall as the majority of tickets go to the people who put the miles in, but without it being a closed shop.
There is a possibility that someone with zero pounts gets tickets in a ballot and someone higher up misses out, but there's no easy way when supply doesn't meet demand.
Seems we went to the same exiled ***** school marra.I’m a c***. You could have passed it on to meon a serious note note I totally get what is happening. Having been a recipient of branch tickets myself in the past, I guess it’s just tough shit. Oh well it was good while it lasted. With regards the id thing, who the hell doesn’t have any form of id with the nowadays?
