ID checks for away tickets

Clubs have to take tickets offsale and return the unsold tickets days before the match. We're talking about people getting ill 0-24 hours before the match. There's no way the club could or would resell the ticket.
you're talking hypothetically and making up scenarios to suit your point of view. are you saying that every ticket that's being passed on is by people who are poorly within 24 hours of kick off?

No, but it was a scenario raised by another poster. What to do when circumstances change.

Yes, many of them will just buy every game regardless now, if they can't make the game - whatever the reason. It's easy to get rid of tickets for every game now.
But why would they now, of all times decide to not bother going now? Build up all the points and think I am not gonna bother with all these games against the likes of city,

There may be a very few who only ever buy with the intention of selling on. These are the ones who should be targeted.

The technology exists if they want to use it

There is a music app called Dice that allows you to list tickets (where sold out) up to 2 hours before the gig. Once you hit the top of the waiting list you have an hour to accept it or it skips you.

There’s no reason that they couldn’t have a virtual waiting list ordered by points.

The tech is possible, whether you want that is a different thing

The club have enough trouble selling tickets once 😜

There's a whole host of reasons why someone might not be able to go or might not want to go - the point is that up to now it's been easy to buy a ticket with your details and pass them on to someone else to us, which a lot of people are doing.

to be clear, i'm just wanting to advocate fairness which appears to be selective for some. imagine somebody missing out on the mags away by one point because of someone else being less than honest.

People helping mates out has been going on from the time Noah put a donkey on a boat, are you saying you have never once benefited from someone’s ticket?

I’ve been supporting Sunderland for over 20 years I’ve been to over 40 stadiums and I go when I can to games. I can’t get a season ticket due to financial and ethical reasons. I have been there in the cold and wet in league 1, the championship and the bad years in the prem. And now they’re trying are making it difficult for people like me to go to games. This is not fair.
How they making it difficult for you to go to games?
