If Sri Lanka can’t fulfil the fixtures ECB will definitely get a replacement team in, no way they lose out on the income from a home test series

They’ve already played all their games.

Reading a few bits on Twitter suggesting it’s a token gesture almost. Their WC is finished, they’ve not got any more games scheduled until end of December, SL reps are still going to be attending ICC meetings and ECB don’t expect to have to change their schedule next year. Sounds very much like Yorkshire’s t20 punishment from this year.

Sri Lanka Cricket's ICC suspension lifted

The International Cricket Council lifts its suspension of Sri Lanka Cricket - saying it is satisfied the body is no longer in breach of membership regulations relating to government interference.
