How would the fans feel

Probably should look at why it’s losing money? And look at ways to mitigate this. Stop the losses

The only way to stop the losses is invest and get out this league. You don't make money in the Championship.

Some would say that is risky, others would call that investing for future as the club would be worth much much more in the Premier League and you'd regain your investment with a profit.

Obviously if you're skint then that isn't an option.

That manner of running doesn't allow for a profit in the premiership though. It would be best if you didn't run correctly when the time suits as it seldom will.

Depends how much you spend and what you spend it on, if you bought some decent youngsters with actual potential, not ones from the bargain bin, then there's still the opportunity to sell them for a profit and reinvest.

Obviously if you go down the route of buying loads of plodders who have no resale value then you wouldn't of course.

Ivan Toney being a prime example with Brentford who cost £5.6m (or thereabouts) and got them promoted pretty much.

Allows for a tiny amount of wiggle room mind.

You could suggest the players we've bought will allow the club to scale this summer (when/if sold) to do what you have suggested.
